Recently heard about a company in the EU that would beat up people in the marketing meetings verbally when they give a business idea that the management didn’t like. To me, that doesn’t foster creativity or a dynamic environment that people want to work in.

In Japan, we have a lot of 7-11 convenience stores. Although, 7-11 was originally American, a Japanese company bought them out years ago.  Normally, when a public speaker slips up in a talk it’s probably best to try to correct yourself quickly.  The speaker sadly confused 9-11 terrorist attacks with a convenience store.
